Her images move in and out of realism, reaching into the territories of fantasy. In some of her earlier paintings, silhouettes of drops, T-shirts, or holes appear; however, in her most recent works, these forms give way to what she calls “landscapes for colour.” The canvases—almost always cut into irregular shapes—emerge as undefined surfaces, chromatic masses that vibrate and seem to be in constant motion.
She works with oil paint, applied in multiple thin, wet layers that overlap to create deep colours arising from this material accumulation.
Much of her work is constructed from references drawn from reading novels, writing, and amateur photography. In her painting, she performs a kind of translation exercise: from the written word to the read word, and from there to the code of the brushstroke and the stain.
Her artistic practice also encompasses handcrafted editorial production through individual and collective projects such as fanzines, magazines, poetry books, and journals.
She is part of the artist collective A.I.R.B.N.B —Artists Invent Residencies Seeking New Borders—, composed of participants from different cities in Argentina. The group seeks to promote and facilitate art residencies that connect artists with regional scenes, building bridges of openness and communication between various contemporary art circuits. The project spans the cities of Salta, Tucumán, Córdoba, Santa Fe, Buenos Aires, and Mar del Plata.
